The Resurgence of Hip-Hop TM:103 Style

After a long 3-year wait Young Jeezy fans all across the world took a collective sigh of relief on December 21st 2011, why you ask. Well its simple after such street classics “Let’s get it” Thug Motivation 101, The Inspiration, and The Recession, Jeezy fans had been anticipating Thug Motivation 103 “Hustlerz Ambition” for over 3 long years. Jeezy pushed TM103 back several time disappointing his fans but stating it just wasn’t the right time. Jeezy informed his fans that he didn’t want to put a product that didn’t meet his standards. During the down time Jeezy dropped mixtape after mixtape to keep his fans focused on the TM103 release. After the final date was set the interest and anticipation mounted every radio station music outlet barbershop and mom and pops spot buzzed about TM103, Is it going to live up to millions of critics Jeezy fans how will the sells be just three days before Christmas, will the album leak early and destroy everything that Young Jeezy had been building up? With so many questions surrounding this album it lead to 233k albums sold in the first week that earned the number three spot. Jeezy’s The Recession sold 260k in its first week, yet 233k in one week is still great, no accidental leaks or pirate downloads many would have to agree that the album is a success from many aspects units sold successful promotion and plenty of happy fans. In many ways Young Jeezy has single handedly began a resurgence in the Hip-Hop industry since TM103 release other artist such as T.I. and rival Rick Ross have both released very successful mixtape starting a trend that many hope to bring good Hip-Hop back to the streets. Rick Ross “God forgives I don’t” is up next and T.I. is in the studio recording for his next album as I post this Blog, Jay-Z has announced that there may be a Watch the Throne 2 album in the making so 2012 is looking very good on a Hip-Hop front.
